I am pleased to announce the impending publication of The Texas Pilgrim: 20 Years of Reflection and Commentary. The past 20 years have been a very special adventure for me and now, after over 200 monthly issues, and approaching 1,000 essays, the time has come to take stock of this project and its inventory. The result is this collection comprising over 500 of these essays and book reviews on social issues, public policy, political philosophy, and American culture, all written in the spirit of the theme advanced by Richard Weaver in his classic book of the same name, that ideas have consequences.
Decisions on how the book will be distributed are pending, but I wanted to provide subscribers with advance notice and to thank all of you for your encouragement and support over the life of this project. I will be in touch soon with ordering information.

Wow! Great news. I have encouraged my 3 teenage sons to read The Texas Pilgrim the past few years and I believe it has helped them to think more rationally, have civil discourse on disagreements and most of all appreciate as originalist’s way of viewing our nation’s journey to its current status as the most free and economically powerful in the world. Your writings have been pure gold.

Jim: You, and your publication, are amazing. I never completely realized, when we started working closely together 40-45 years ago, just how brilliant, wise, and intuitive you were. I should never have doubted that, being a clean cut country boy from Livingston, you were FULLY equipped to master ANY craft that you set your mind to. You have really educated, and broadened, me with Texas Pilgrim. And, I totally agree with Leslie about the cover. It is perfect!
