Can you imagine a call for the U. S. to “pause” on December 7, 1941 or on September 11, 2001? These are dates that, apologies to FDR, will live in infamy, and we can now add October 7, 2023 to the list. Carl von Clausewitz said that “war is the continuation of politics by other means”. Israel is there.
Meanwhile, worldwide anti-Semitic attacks are at a post-Holocaust high; college students are in the streets protesting U. S. support of Israel; at last count there have been 26 attacks by Hezbollah on U. S. installations in the Middle East; the funding of extended support for Ukraine in its war with Russia is being challenged in Congress; as many as three wars are converging into one major conflagration; we’re faced with continuing and unabated illegal entry in the thousands on a daily basis through our southern border; and the highest priority of the Biden administration, supposedly the leading defender of world order, this week was the announcement of a new initiative, under the leadership of the Vice President, to fight Islamophobia in the U. S.!!! God save us.
God save us! Yes, but it is said that the Lord helps those who help themselves. We have not helped ourselves in electing to high office these buffoons, nor enabling our young to remain in extended adolescence with underdeveloped critical thinking.
Heard a retired military General say we wouldn’t pause if we’d been attack. No, Biden couldn’t pause what he’d never started.

Tell me a time when behavior in America has been as irresponsible, off-the-path, uncalled for, unethical. unbecoming, unpatriotic, weak, tawdry, undisciplined, untrustworthy. unappealing,….? I could go on and on.
OBVIOUSLY, I’m not speaking of everyone or even most Americans. But it’s a damn healthy big number.
